Spent most of the afternoon at the Pors de Themy (I'm sure that's not the name...) and got quite sunburnt. We secured a beachhead in a little cove where we erected our tent and strewed our things around. We had a picnic lunch in our cove, later we built a garden fence and path and planted some sand flowers - tres suburban! The sea was too cold for Janie and the tide was going out. Then, when the tide turned, a cool breeze sprang up. Some Germans tried to climb the cliff and failed. Lord, how we laughed. I had hoped to take a spin up to Douarnenez but we were all too tired so went home and read instead before dinner and bedtime. Janie did manage to get back to the beach before dinner as she had to take Emma there for a pee stop while visiting the supermarket at Le Loch. Later, having had her hair washed and been told her how pretty she was, Emma was kneeling on a chair in our room looking in the mirror: 'I a hundred years pretty' she decided. Then more realistically 'I four six eight years pretty'...
