Settled in to a pattern now... weather is cloudy when we wake up then clears up by midday. We have lunch then go out... today it was to the Aquarium at Audierne where we saw a lot of fish and a seabird spectacular. We stayed at the aquarium for a couple of hours, finishing off with a Miko in the cafe overlooking the estuary with the tide out. We had looked over the wall at the beach at Audierne and it seemed a little touristique so decided against going there and instead headed back to St Tugen where the tide was coming in and surfing was going on. Janie had a swim, but again I didn't catch the event on film. Lucy, Emma and I played around on the sand and in the rockpools. And threw stones about a lot. As we were coming up from the beach Emma out of nowhere said 'It was good seeing all those fish'.

We headed back to Audierne to the creperie recommended by Gordon Spillet. It was very nice except for being a frites-free zone and the children were not so happy, although they did have saucisse au pomme de terre which were a little fried which was nice. And more ice cream which was even nicer. I had a mint and chocolate concoction. Bouf! The sun was setting as we headed out of Audierne. We stopped off to look over the beach we had visited earlier and took some photos, then stopped again outside St Tugen to capture the sun sinking over Primelin and another stop to say goodnight to the cows... The only bad thing about the day was the reddening of my ankles which had been exposed to a little too much Brittany sun without adequate protection..
