Beautiful morning so we got up and slowly raced off to the... supernarket at Quiberon for loo roll and supplies for a petit picnic sur la plage... we headed back towards Le Tugen but large clouds made us think again and we decided to continue down to Les Trepassés where we found the sun shining and the tide out. Once the stiff breeze abated a little it turned out to be a lovely day.

We picnicked on the beach as planned and played in the incoming tide. Lucy and I diverted the course of what we later figured could be a sewage outflow down the beach... so far we haven't come down with anything. Later, when the tide was nearly fully in (and just before a minor rainstorm came along) we upped sticks and headed along the north coast of the peninsula to check out the beaches there. We turned off the main road at a likely looking place and chanced upon a secluded little inlet with a bar/cafe which suited us all very well as there was a portaloo and ice cream to take advantage of. Then home for a Ricard moment followed by an al fresco dinner and early to bed... a lovely day all round.
