Pink Floyd
Ah, the Floyd... where it all started back in '71 or '72. The details are pretty sketchy but I can remember buying a cheapo record player with some money I had got together, presumably from working, and with the few pence I had left only being able to afford two bargain bin records - Bowie's Deram album and Floyd's Relics. And for a while that was pretty much the limit of my musical world.. Later on I found Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here I think via my mate Leigh's brother's record collection, which took me through to the late '70s, but I largely lost interest with The Wall being almost the opposite of what I wanted music to be in the late 1970s. But then I came back to them, and David Gilmour, with a vengeance. |
