Holiday 2006
Monday 14
To Grafham Water, meeting up with Aggie, Robin, Max, Jack and Boris

Tuesday 15
Went in to M&S St Neots with Max for supplies.

Wednesday 16
Rained heavily in afternoon - having fixed car window and believing the car to be watertight remembered that the roof had been left open... doh! Fish and chips at the pub afterwards.

Thursday 17
Left Gresham at 2pm heading west. Heavy rain on the way, particularly on M50 near Ross. Arrived Goytre at about 5pm.

Friday 18
Stormy weather overnight and poor forecast led us to rethink plans slightly and delay the next stage of our adventure by a day. Went to Abergavenny in the afternoon where more heavy rain had brought traffic to standstill... got some things for the tent and then went to the Black Bear at Bettws Newydd for a quick pint before dinner.

Saturday 19
To The Green - straightforward journey. Orange meal in evening.

Sunday 20
To Bridgnorth in the afternoon, cycle ride to sailing club and Severn Valley Railway. Yellow meal in evening.

Monday 21
Got up early and headed west via Newtown and Machynlleth towards the beach at Tywyn and later the Talyllyn Railway. Stop off at Dick's Diner in Machynlleth for fish and chips. Arrive back at campsite around 10pm.

Tuesday 22
Late afternoon drive up to top of Long Mynd. Watch gliders and paragliders, then down to Church Stretton to the supermarket. Return to camp for sausages in the rain.

Wednesday 23
Messed around in brook in the morning. Then to Church Stretton to the camping shop for replacement bed. To Crown Inn in the early evening followed by nearly cooked pasta - the gas failed halfway through.

Thursday 24
Long car ride - Bishops Castle, book riding lesson for Saturday, then picnic in a little valley Cefn Einion(?). Decide to head for Montgomery to ride along the canal. Unfortunately using guesswork we go in opposite direction, then, when we do get to Montgomery there is no canal to be found. Eventually heading for home come across sign to stone circle and instead go for ride on top of hill with beautiful views. Crown Inn in evening for rabbit pie and beer.

Friday 25
E&L played with Milly in the morning, went to see goats, went to the brook. In afternoon went to Craven Arms to the Museum - Land of Lost Content. Then to Clun to the castle followed by a pint at a pub in town before returning to the campsite for lambburgers al fresco.

Saturday 26
Riding lesson

Sunday 27
